To tell the truth, i have prepared my self to write again actually after a while of absence but it’s not actually today, i am waiting for my Finished Miracle, but there is something in my heart that tells me to write what i am about to show you below. And i believe it’s the Holy Spirit.

First question, Do you believe in Miracle?

Second question, Have you received any?

Today i am going to mention a story on the Bible. You may not be a Christian, but take a look at this as a story telling, i am telling you a story that could change your thought about what we called Miracle and Faith 🙂

2 KINGS 4 : 1 (The wife of a man from the company of the prophets cried out to Elisha, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that he revered the Lord. But now his creditor is coming to take my two boys as his slaves.”)

So, a long time ago there was one woman whose husband was dead and was bound to her husband’s debt and her children was threaten to be taken away because she couldn’t have paid her debt. Can you imagine how heavy was her burden? If i was her, i probably felt frightened, worry, hopeless – how could a mother let her children be a slave for what she or her husband has done?

I can see that she came with tears, fear and tons of burden on her chest asking and hoping for a miracle that could free her from her problems. And read on to see what she got in return!

2 KINGS 4 : 2 ( Elisha replied to her, “How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house? “Your servant has nothing there at all,” she said, “except a small jar of olive oil.”)

From verse 1 and 2, we can see that the woman came to Elisha who was one of the servant of God. A long time ago, God speaks through His servant, but now after Jesus died at the cross, we can look and talk to God straight from heart to heart. So, this woman came to Elisha and asked for help, which means she was asking help to the Lord.

And we can see that Elisha was asking her what she had, Faith often starts from what you have! God can use whatever you have to do His miracle. Take whatever you have under His feet and He will show You what He can do with it. He is the one who change 5 breads and 2 fishes to thousands.

2 KINGS 4 : 3 – 4 (Elisha said, “Go around and ask all your neighbors for empty jars. Don’t ask for just a few. ⁴ Then go inside and shut the door behind you and your sons. Pour oil into all the jars, and as each is filled, put it to one side.”)

Can you see what Elisha had asked her? Something that could solve her problem? At first, i can answer NO. What comes from Elisha was from God, God asked her to go to her neighbors -knocking door to door- to borrow empty jars as many as she could bring (Don’t ask for just a few).

Don’t you think it’s a new problem? As we could remember, she is bound to debt, and now aren’t borrowing to all neighbors was also adding this woman ‘s debt? This woman could just probably thought How adding my debt could solve my problem – pay my debt and save my children?

Sometimes, a miracle ask you to Just Believe whatever is in front of you. Don’t doubt your God, whatever your religion is, never doubt your God. For He is God – Your Father, How could He gives you a snake when all you ask is a toast? Even your biological father will give up everything for your best, isn’t He is the greatest God? – the creator of your world, your everything? Or do you want to say that He is not as good as our biological parent? Impossible, isn’t it?
2 KINGS 4 : 5 – 6 (She left him and shut the door behind her and her sons. They brought the jars to her and she kept pouring. ⁶ When all the jars were full, she said to her son, “Bring me another one.”)

Back to our story, So this woman even though she didn’t understand how this could solve her problem, she chose to obey and just do. Imagine this woman went door to door knocking – she would then have to knock with bold face and lots of guts, asking help to borrow some empty jars from house to house.

Not many people have many jars left to be borrowed. She probably could have a hard time collecting the jars. And seeing this woman was a person in debt, how would you think her neighbors would believe to borrow her their jar? A little impossible to get many jars don’t you think?

Unfinished Miracle : She got the jars! (It’s a miracle!)

Then she got home, shut her door and start pouring her “a small jar of olive oil” (verse 2). God is the creator, He can make something out of nothing – Still don’t believe it? See the sky above you and the land under you, and could you name one person who can create it?

From a small jar of olive oil, she could fill all of the jars she borrowed! And i can assure you, it’s not just a few of jars! You can see it on our next verse. God creates the olive oil from just a small jar of olive oil. Our God never change, He is able create this woman’s olive oil, so He is also able to create whatever you need from what you have right now.

2 KINGS 4 : 6b (But he replied, “There is not a jar left.” Then the oil stopped flowing.)

Unfinished Miracle : Not stopping olive oil! (It’s a miracle!)

But, did it solve her problem? Not yet 🙂 .Okay she got the olive oil on many jars, she had received a super miracle – a supernatural thing has just happened, but did it pay her debt and save her children? No.

She could just give up and think, Is God playing with me all this time? She was still the woman under debt, that hasn’t change at all up until now. When you are struggling, don’t give up, because your help is near and giving up will shut the door of your help and miracle.

2 KINGS 4 : 7 (She went and told the man of God, and he said, “Go, sell the oil and pay your debts. You and your sons can live on what is left.)

She didn’t even know how her miracle could save her! You can see that she again came to Elisha. If she knew how it could save her, i think she could just sell it straight away without went to Elisha and ask him what to do next.  God tells her to sell the oil.

I see it as a new task and a new struggle. “When can i sell all the oil and get enough money to pay my debt? There are so many oil! How can i sell it all?”

Unfinished Miracle  : She sold out all her oil ! (It’s a miracle!)

And see what God says, “You and your sons can live on what is left.” He takes care of her! Not just solving her problem but He gives more than what this woman needed.

Miracle Finished !

God can do His miracle instantly, He can heal everyone -body & heart, anything- instantly, as easy as turning His palm. I have seen so many people have His miracle instantly, the blind sees, the paralyzed are being healed. But sometimes He let us through some process, so that we could learn what is Faith, we could back to His way and know His heart deeper.

About the question No. 2 i have asked you at first, Have you received any Miracle? Don’t rush to say No. Because i know you have 🙂 You are receiving it everyday! You are breathing, you are walking, you are safe when you are on your way to anywhere, you are loved. Those are your miracles that sometimes you don’t realize. Don’t wait until you are given an accident – and saved then you say you got a miracle, isn’t it better to not have that accident ? 🙂

Notice the Unfinished Miracle i write as my title? This woman had to gone through Miracle after Miracle, maybe it’s not solving her problem yet, but do you know? Every step brings you closer to your Finished Miracle? Keep believing, Keep hoping, Be Still and Give Thanks.

I am not saying these things out of theories, i am struggling my self, how i learn to be in faith, to believe when all i see was worsen body, to give thanks for every little healing while there were many worsen things aside, to pray for another people who are sick while i was dying for my self, to always have the joy, to just believe – to imagine my whole healthy body on my mind and say “I believe that will be mine soon.”

When you are hopeless, come to Him – your God through your prayer, call His name, cry at His feet. When you feel that you are helpless and death probably better, come to Him and just say “Please help me, God.” I guarantee you with all my life, He will come to you, if your problem is still there, He will give you strength that you need, joy that you need, and your days will just filled with joy and strength.

I know because i have been through the darkest days of mine and right now i can be this me that filled with Joy, Thanks, and Strength even when i saw my scary scars on my body only because of Jesus’s help. I won’t be able to live my day without His help.

As i wrote above, i will write again when my Miracle is Finished! And i know it is very soon enough, so excited thinking to share it to you hoping that it will bless you 🙂
